Biography

Short Biography

Suzana Vulovic (1991, Serbia) is a Serbian-born interdisciplinary artist, currently based between London and Belgrade.

Her last series Beyond Uncertainty exists between the poetic and the socio-political, a space where mythology, migration, and lived experience converge. The project approaches uncertainty not only as instability, but as a site of transformation, ritual, and renewal. Her practice explores memory, identity, migration, and transcultural belonging through immersive and research-led formats, rooted in both visual and literary approaches, her work often combines fragmented narratives, bodily presence, and spatial interventions to examine personal and collective histories.

Suzana began her artistic education at the High School of Fine Arts, specializing in the conservation and restoration of easel paintings, which provided a strong technical foundation and broad understanding of artistic processes. She later earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Trebinje, B&H, before completing an MFA in Fine Art with Distinction at London Metropolitan University as a Chevening Scholar. Alongside her artistic practice, she works as Artist Lead and Project Coordinator with Art Voyage Biennial CIC, contributing to community-engaged and migration-focused cultural projects. She is also the founding director of Libria, an independent art organization dedicated to fostering transcultural dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Over the past decade, Vulovic has presented 17 solo and collaborative duo exhibitions, and participated in more than 30 group exhibitions across Europe and the United Kingdom. Recent exhibitions Phthalo Sky Silently Falls (Devonshire Square Gallery, London, 2024), and Triptych of Thoughts (Making Space Gallery, London, 2025). She has participated in several international residencies, including Cité internationale des arts (Paris, 2025) and Intermix (Riyadh, 2026), and her work continues to expand through interdisciplinary collaborations, curatorial projects, and performance-based research.
