Clouds in the water the color of my skin

Mixed Media; Since 2025

Clouds in the Water, the Color of My Skin emerged from the ongoing Beyond Uncertainty, series of works that began during my residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in June 2025, under the auspices of the SULUJ Association (Serbia). Paris inspired the poem that became the starting point for a body of paintings and visual poetry, a process that continued to evolve long after the residency itself. Combining oil paint on canvas with handwritten texts, these works explore the intersection of image and language, where poetry becomes both a visual and material gesture. Underlying this exploration is a profound dialogue with nature and the feminine principle, embodied through water as one of the central symbols and recurring visual motifs within the Beyond Uncertainty series. Water functions as a space of transformation, memory, and belonging, carrying both personal and collective narratives.
